A couple of new features were introduced to My CoolWorks last night: * Drag-and-Drop Profile Page Layout Editing: Check it out. You may now re-arrange your profile page. Grab the top of a section with your mouse and move it to where you want it. Happy New Year - and Thanks!

Thanks for stopping by the Cool Works sandbox. Things are about to pick up around here so keep your eyes open for new employers and new places as we ramp up after the holidays.

Here's a video of a daily shot from our WebCam. It's 365 shots, one at about 10 am for each day of 2007, scrolling by in about a minute and a half of our favorite view into Yellowstone Park.

If Asked for a SS # on an Application Form -- Should You Make it Up?

Companies have no business asking for social security numbers prematurely. They will need it if they are running background checks on you. And they will need it once you're hired. But it should be a red flag if they ask for it on an application form.
